Behind the Headlines Special Edition
Covers State of the State Address Live

WKNO-TV will air live coverage of Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam’s State of the State address as a Behind the Headlines Special Edition, Monday, January 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Channel 10. This will be Haslam’s second State of the State Address.

Eric Barnes, publisher of the Memphis Daily News, will be in the WKNO studios introducing live coverage of the Governor’s speech in Nashville.

After the speech, the Behind the Headlines panelists will examine the Governor's proposals and their potential impact on the state and our region. The panel will consist of Jackson Baker of the Memphis Flyer, Bill Dries of the Memphis Daily News, Amos Maki of the Commercial Appeal, and Les Smith, Senior Reporter for FOX-13 News, with Eric Barnes moderating.

Viewers will be encouraged to use the Twitter hashtag #BTHstate to share their reactions to the Governor’s speech. Viewers can also post comments and questions on the WKNO Facebook page or email them to behindtheheadlines@wkno.org. Some of these comments or questions may be shared on the air during the panel discussion to follow the speech.
