Episodes of Ask This Old House Shot in Memphis to Air This Month
Segments of the public television program Ask This Old House that were shot in the Memphis area this past fall are scheduled to air nationally this month. The two episodes featuring the area segments will air locally on public television station WKNO/Channel, which regularly airs the program Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m.
Ask This Old House is the companion series to public television’s long-running home improvement show This Old House. This past fall, host Kevin O’Connor, general contractor Tom Silva, and the crew left their usual stomping grounds around Boston for a road trip through America’s Heartland. They spent several days in the Memphis area taping segments, including a visit with Germantown homeowners Jaime and Josh Corman, whose kitchen cabinet hardware received an update.
Ask This Old House “Road Trip, Part 1” (episode #919) features home improvement workshops taped in Memphis, Tennessee; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Memphis workshop, which was held on the grounds of Graceland, featured a tilesetting project. This episode will air on WKNO/Channel 10 on Saturday, February 19, at 9:30 a.m. It also airs on digital channel WKNO2 (10.2) at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 13 and Wednesday, February 16.
Ask This Old House “Road Trip, Part 2” (episode #920) features host Kevin O’Connor’s tour of Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley. Then, general contractor Tom Silva helps a Germantown homeowner replace her old, worn-out kitchen cabinet hardware. This episode will air on WKNO/Channel 10 on Saturday, February 26, at 9:30 a.m. It also airs on digital channel WKNO2 (10.2) at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 20 and Wednesday, February 23.
