WKNO/CHANNEL 10 TO AIR TAPE-DELAYED BROADCAST
OF THE ROYAL WEDDING IN PRIMETIME
Partnering with BBC Worldwide, WKNO will air tape-delayed coverage of The Royal Wedding in primetime on Friday, April 29 from 7:00 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. on WKNO/Channel 10. The broadcast will present full coverage of one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the century, the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The coverage begins three hours ahead of the wedding service in Central London as well as other key locations such as St. Andrews and Kate’s home village of Bucklebury. The team of presenters will be stationed around Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and The Mall. They will watch all the preparations as they unfold, report on all the movements and speak to members of the crowd who have travelled from all over to witness this little piece of history.
The broadcast will also be feature guest experts such as Royal historians and correspondents, fashion experts, and possibly some guests who are attending the wedding service.
The broadcast will also include the arrivals of all the key guests and full coverage of the wedding service, plus the full procession back to Buckingham Palace following the service and conclude with the historic balcony appearance by William and Kate and close members of the Royal Family.
In addition, prior to airing The Royal Wedding, the documentary William and Kate The Royal Wedding will air Thursday, April 28 at 9:00 p.m. This hour-long program will celebrate and illuminate this highly anticipated and celebrated event in Britain’s royal history. The program will trace the history of the royal couple’s romance and profile the participants, history and key aspects of a Royal Wedding.
