Finding Billy Elliot is the story of a nationwide search for the three boys who play the leading role in Billy Elliot the Musical on Broadway. From the early auditions through rehearsal and opening night, we follow these talented boys as they face the challenges and joys of starring in a Broadway musical. With music by Elton John, story by Lee Hall and stage direction by Stephen Daldry, Billy Elliot went on to win 10 Tony Awards including the Best Actor in a Musical Award for the three original Billys.
Billy Elliot the Musical
The musical is based on the Oscar-nominated film from 2000 about a young boy and his love of dance, to the dismay of his family and community, reeling from the 1984-85 UK Miners’ Strike.
