Join us for a special Downton Abbey Marathon this Memorial Day Weekend. We’ll air the first four episodes of Season Two (which premiered this past January) on Sunday, May 27 from 11am - 4pm. The final three episodes will air on Monday, May 28, 11am - 4pm.

Downton Abbey Season 2 resumes its story of love and intrigue at an English country estate, now mobilized for the trauma of war. With a returning cast including Dame Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGovern, Hugh Bonneville, Dan Stevens, Michelle Dockery, Siobhan Finneran, and many more, Downton Abbey Season 2 was a ratings winner when it first premiered.

Downton Abbey Season 1 was honored last year in the U.S. with an impressive six Primetime Emmy® awards, including Outstanding Miniseries or Movie, plus awards for Supporting Actress Dame Maggie Smith, Writer Julian Fellowes, and nods for Directing, Cinematography, and Costumes. American critics raved, calling Downton Abbey “an instant classic” (New York Times), “compulsively watchable from the get-go” (Variety), “impossible to resist” (Wall Street Journal), “addictive” (People Magazine), “the best Abbey since Abbey Road”.

As part of our Downton Abbey celebration, we’ll also air Downton Abbey – Behind the Drama on Sunday, May 27 at 4pm and Secrets of the Manor House on Sunday, May 27 at 5pm.

Secrets of the Manor House
A hundred years ago, the world of the British manor house was at its height. It was a world of luxury and privilege that has provided a majestic backdrop to a range of movies and costume dramas to this day, most recently in the popular Masterpiece: Downton Abbey. But what was really going on behind those stately walls? Find out when this program looks beyond fiction to the truth of the lives lived in these ancient British houses, and shows how mounting financial, political and social pressures were poised to bring momentous changes.
