Great Congregational Cook-Off of Memphis

It is an unspoken fact that worship congregations have the best cooks/chefs in the city of Memphis. WKNO Channel 10 in partnership with PBS and The Great American Recipe show (which premiered on WKNO Channel 10 on Friday, June 24, 2022) would like to invite you and/or members of you, your kitchen/food service ministry team and/or members of your congregation to participate in the first-ever Great Congregational Cook-Off of Memphis. Here is your chance to pull out your grill, share your unique barbeque recipe, prepare your favorite traditional dishes, dust off those secret family recipes, and join us in this festive fellowship of food, fun, music, and friendly competition of diversity, inclusion, unity, and cultural awareness of all faiths as we celebrate our similarities while embracing our differences as one human family.

Who will take home the title of Best Congregational Cook in Memphis?

Who will be crowned “best presentation overall”?

What congregation will take home the trophy and $500 award?

It is all happening Sunday, July 24, 2022, from 4 – 6 p.m., (set-up and cooking can begin at 8 a.m.; Grills may be dropped off beginning Friday and Saturday, July 22 & 23) in our backyard on the grounds of WKNO Media Center; 7151 Cherry Farms Rd., Cordova, TN. 38016
