Budget Year End Giving

Because of you, WKNO provides PBS dramas, documentaries, and local shows you enjoy, like Behind the Headlines, The SPARK, A Conversation With. . . and The Family Plot.

This PBS station is about $3,000 from meeting its end-of-budget year goal by June 30.

Consider supporting WKNO/Channel 10 — at any amount — and help us continue to provide our community with arts, history, news, and the local WKNO programs you love in the year ahead!

We appreciate any and all of your support! Thank you!!

Why does budget year end giving matter?

This is not just a financial matter; it's about WKNO's future. Your support is crucial at the end of the budget year so WKNO can meet its monetary needs for next year's budget.

If WKNO fails to meet its end-of-budget year goal, funding for the resources and programs you love could be limited in the coming year.

Your support matters!!

Why should I give?

Without any cost to you and commercial-free, WKNO offers:

         *Local programs like Behind the Headlines, The SPARK, The  Family Plot: Gardening in the Mid-South, A Conversation With. . .  and MORE

         *  24/7 streaming of WKNO/Channel 10 and PBS Kids

         * Thousands of PBS programs are available for viewing on PBS.org and the PBS App.

         * GivingDocs — an online way you can setup your will/trust, beneficiary designation, durable power of attorney, and more through Giving Docs.

         * PBS Kids games

         * Educational resources for parents, teachers, and students

         * Gallery 1091, WKNO Public Media Center's art gallery

         * Online WKNO's Teacher Teacher content, including Book Adventures, Silly Science, and Math Minutes

      And MORE!

It is all FREE despite only being 30% funded by the federal government, with over 70% of revenue coming from the local community.

Why does this station keep asking me for money?

This station must pay PBS dues yearly so that WKNO can offer the programs you love, including Masterpiece, NOVA, Nature, Ken Burns Documentaries, and more.

WKNO is not just a station; it's a community. Although the federal government funds about 30% of WKNO's revenue, over 70% of this station's revenue comes from you, our community. This means WKNO relies on your support to keep going. One pledge drive or campaign barely scratches the surface of the revenue WKNO needs to operate yearly.

As a public media station, WKNO relies on the collective efforts of the community to support this station during pledge drives and campaigns. These initiatives are not just about raising money but about fostering a sense of shared responsibility and commitment to continuing WKNO's work and programming year after year.

What do I get in return for supporting this station?
