Midtown Shop & Support Presents Inaugural Fundraiser Benefitting WKNO

Join the Shop & Support Team on Saturday, April 4, for an event benefitting WKNO Public Media! The Shop & Support Team is addressing issues facing the Memphis community, and their first fundraiser supporting WKNO Public Media is on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 2-6 PM. With the recent elimination of federal funding nationwide, our local public media station, WKNO, has been left with a 21% shortfall ($1.3 million) in this year’s operating budget.

The event will be hosted at First Congregational Church (1000 Cooper St.). The vibrant event will feature an outdoor thrift market, live music, and food trucks, with all proceeds going directly to WKNO.

Volunteers with the Midtown Shop & Support will collect clean, gently used men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, CDs, records, jewelry, books, and toys from designated drop-off locations. These include Novel Bookstore in Laurelwood and the WKNO office at 7151 Cherry Farms Road in Cordova.
