WKNO—The First Fifty Years takes a look at the Mid-South’s public television station from its first broadcast in a small studio— no larger than the average living room—in a school annex at 4th and Jefferson to the present…fifty years later. This episode in the Memphis Memoirs series focuses on the history of the station, the people who made it happen, the programs (many lost forever) we grew up with and the mission WKNO continues to the present day and beyond.
